I love a snow storm on a weekend. There’s something wonderful about being able to watch it snow and know that you don’t have to go out in it. I did some knitting, and some cleaning, and some nice relaxing with the Sunday paper. The boys (BF and D downstairs) took care of the 6ish inches of snow in the driveway, so I was able to get on with dinner, a really wonderful Asian -inspired beef stew, which we had with a really good, rather inexpensive bottle of red wine. It was a really good day.
I’m almost down to the heel flap on my mother’s second sock, which means my holiday knitting is just about to draw to a close. Once that’s done, I probably won’t have anything else on the needles for about a week, but I’ve decided I really need some fingerless gloves, so Fetching will be next on my list once the holidays are over. I also should be getting the needles I need to make some hats as a Christmas gift, so I’ll hopefully be able to give Coronet a try if I get those needles. Other than that, I still have to settle on some yarn for Sitcom Chic, and I think I’ll have plenty to do for the new year.
I should be able to finish up my last book for the Armchair Traveler Reading Challenge tonight (maybe tomorrow if I get a little distracted), and that means I’ll be done with all my 2007 reading challenges. It’s really hard to believe that 2007 is almost a thing of the past.
