In slightly less pretty news, I already have lily beetles in my lilies! Damn bugs! The poor lilies were so badly infested last year that one of three plants never managed to bloom (the other two were pretty half-hearted about it). I’d managed to find an organic insecticide that one of my mother’s coworkers used to great success last year, but when I went to reapply after work today (after the nearly excessive rain of the weekend), I had one of the little stinkers wandering around one of the plants. Grr! It doesn’t seem to have laid any eggs, so hopefully, I’ve caught things in time.
