So this was the status of my Susanna socks last night, when I decided to try them on and found that I couldn’t even get them on my foot well enough to even tell if the heel would fit. And this after I was all proud of myself for navigating through rejoining to knit in the round after doing the heel flap with a minimum of instruction in the pattern, for the first time.
So they’re frogged now, and I’ll be recasting them on with size 2 needles. I can at least take comfort in the fact that when I am not suffering from the creeping ick, the pattern goes quite quickly, and I really enjoy working with this yarn.
