Knitting Notes

Above are the Pulsations socks for my Mom, started last night. I really like how this yarn looks in the ball, and it was actually a lot of fun to wind, just to see how the colors were fitting together. The pattern is pretty simple so far.

I’m fairly well screaming along on the Coronet hat. I’m in stockinette hell right now, but it’s going pretty quickly. I may try to finish that off today, as it’s great tv watching knitting.

I was doing pretty well with the Brocade Leaves sweater. I finished the right front, and was all proud of myself, until I went back to start the left front, and realized that the two sides of the v-neck were uneven. So that got frogged back to the row before the v-neck starts (I’m actually really proud of myself for being able to get it back there and still have it in usable form.) This is really a good thing in the long run, I guess, as I’d finished with less stitches than the pattern called for at the top. I was willing to settle for a slightly wider v-neck, but hopefully this time I can hit the pattern instead.
