I must first admit that I listen to knitting podcasts. And it was through one of those (honestly can’t remember which one anymore – yes, I listen to more than one), that I heard an interview with Laurie Perry. I enjoyed the interview, so when I saw this book on Booksfree, into the queue it went.
There’s actually not a ton of knitting in this book. It’s mostly about the author’s life after her husband left her, and how she refound herself in the process. Knitting was a part of that, but I suspect any woman who’s been through a break up could read this book and see themselves in parts of the story.
So yes, I’ve become enough of a follower that I’ve read a non-pattern knitting book, and I actually liked it. Oh well. There are worst things to conform to…
