In which Kindred Spirit and Malabrigo abril sock yarn skeins are used up completely…

Needles: Size 2 DPNs
This particular yarn was my first foray into the wonderful world of hand-dyed internet (Etsy, in fact) sock yarn. I bought it because I adore the colors – it’s a combo of my favorites. So I definitely wanted to make something small that I could keep. I also wanted to add a little variation to my leftover sock yarn repertoire – stockings are getting a little old.
This little sweater fit the bill perfectly. There’s also a variation with a cable, so I can see myself making quite a few more of these.

The rest of the skein went for a baby hat. It’s a little shorter than I would have liked, but will still make a cute gift.

And finally, having made two already, I knew I could eke another stocking out of my Malabrigo abril sock yarn. So, two days into the new year, and two skeins of left over sock yarn down…
