Ruched Yoke Tee

Knitting Notes

Ruched Yoke Tee

I’ve cast on the Ruched Yoke Tee by AnneLena Mattison, from the Spring Interweave Knits. I’m using Cascade Ultra Pima, in the Juniper colorway.

The sweater is knit top down, so I’m getting the most interesting section – the ruching – first. It’s actually ridiculously easy, which makes me think a ruched scarf pattern I had seen, but dismissed as difficult, might be just the thing to set off some sock yarn to good effect.

I must also note this is by the far the most pleasant cotton yarn I’ve ever worked with. Granted, my prior experience is mostly of the cheapo stuff you buy when you’re starting out, and don’t know any better, but still, this is great yarn. Actually, I chose it by the multiple, unanimous comments on Ravelry to that effect, and I can already tell you, those are true comments.

I think this should be a quick knit, but we’ll see if I still feel that way when I’m mired in stockinette hell in the main part of the body…
