We’re back from a lovely weekend in Downeast Maine. We lucked out on Saturday, at least, with the weather, so were able to tool around Mount Desert Island. The highlight of that trip was the Asticou Azalea Garden, which is at the corner of Routes 198 and 3 in Northeast Harbor.
We probably hit the best weekend of the year. A few of the azaleas had already gone by, but most were in full bloom. The garden is free (though donations are welcome), and I highly recommend it. It’s absolutely lovely this time of year.
