It’s been hot. Disgustingly, nastily hot. I’d gone out expecting to get pictures of the little tomatoes and peppers on my plants, but gave up shortly after getting the large scale pictures, and stuff from the front of the garden (dill gone to seed, is lovely, isn’t it?)
The tomato plant is doing really well. I’ve actually had to stake it – it was tipping the tomato cage, which is not totally a surprise – I’ve seen it done before, but not with a cherry tomato plant. I also had to stake the pepper plant, as it flopped over in the heat. Fortunately, it didn’t break, but I put the stakes in to make sure if it happens again, it’ll be ok.
I’ve actually gone to daily watering in this heat wave. First time all summer I’ve had to do that, which I think is a pretty good mark for the size of the pots I selected.
Wow, dill gone to seed is really quite cool looking! Remind me to plant some next year! 🙂
