I had some quality knitting time during our long weekend in Vermont, and I managed to get through charts 1 and 2 in my Galadriel’s Mirror shawl.
I’m really enjoying this pattern. I think I’d class it as intermediate level. It’s actually pretty repetitious, so I have a certain amount of it memorized, but there’s enough going on that you definitely have to pay attention. There are also a ton of twisted stitches, though I’m finding I enjoy those more in lace than in socks. Granted, it’ll be changing in chart 4 to a different design, so I have variation to look forward to.
I’m not sure how I feel about the yarn. I love the color, but it’s very splitty.
