I managed to get back on the canning horse this weekend. These are Spiced Cranberries from Canning for a New Generation. They smelled absolutely divine cooking.
But, the best part of this project was being able to use my new canner all the way through. I made eight jars, and actually prepped an additional one of each size, just in case, so that was ten jars initially, which does not fit in my stock pot. And I actually had room for more. I am so excited for the new level of recipe volume this is opening up to me.
I also really love the new jar lifter I got. I was actually doing things one handed. All in all, it was more fun than I probably should have had on a Sunday afternoon.
