


On the plus side, I did have enough mulch to cover the areas that needed it the most. I was a little bad this year, and did something I’d never done before: cut back the daffodil foliage before it completely died back. Since they had their best ever Spring after the winter of doom for most other plants, I decided to chance it. It was just so ugly at this point. Getting rid of it gave me easier access to a ton of weeds, and just made the whole bed look better.
