LibraryThing Early Readers book.
I will admit, I would probably never have bought this book, but I’m really happy to have it. It’s exactly what the title says it is – Jane Austen book covers through the years from first publication, up to the present day. It’s a really neat study on changing times, changing design esthetics, and changing views on what these stories mean to readers.
The book talks about collecting these books. I confess, as much as I love them, I’ve never considered that. I think this book is a nice substitution – an interesting stroll through literary history in a way I’d never thought of before.
