So here’s the latest knitting project: another Fish Hat Dead or Alive?. I’d made one for my friend L a few years back. Her nephew apparently thinks it’s the coolest thing ever, so when I mentioned I was taking commissions when I was down visiting them in January, that went on the list.
I did buy a yarn for the body (Knitpicks Chroma in the Weathervane colorway), but I’ve otherwise been using scraps. So far, that’s some Cascade 220 Superwash, regular Cascade 220, Malabrigo Rios, Cascade Lana d’Oro and some Classic Elite Renaissance. I’ll also shortly be adding in some KnitPicks Wool of the Andes superwash for the tail and side fins. (Haven’t quite decided on the dorsal fin yet, but that will likely be some combination of something I’ve already used.)
