I’m back from a week in England. We put this trip together in about a month’s time. Our friend K was supposed to come over here, and just couldn’t make it work. BF had already taken the time off (and I knew I could), so we decided to go to her instead.
We just got back at midnight last night, so I’m in the “my body has no idea what time it’s supposed to be” phase of the coming home process. I’ve got slightly more than 2200 pictures to go through, so I figured I’d start with the hauls.

K sent us home with nearly a thousand tea bags. That’s a true friend!

I normally don’t buy books in England, because the exchange rate and pricing schemes make them way more of a value over here, but we went to the Bodleian Library at Oxford, and I had to buy the Shakespearean Botanical – it’s right up my collecting alley. And we also needed to make all our Ben Aaronovitch editions match.
We also hit Hampton Court, so souvenirs from there, as well as the Royal School of Needlework (it’s on the grounds), happened.

And because younger niece is really loving books right now, I went a little crazy there. The owl is for my father, and the M&M’s are for a coworker that always has them at her desk. (The M&M’s World store at Leicester Square is epic.)
