I bought this book because I love the Go Fug Yourself blog – their write ups are the best part of the blog. I figured I’d be able to read this someday when I needed a lighter read, and this past month definitely fit that category. And you know what? It was exactly what I needed.
Bex is an American exchange student at Oxford who finds herself in the middle of the group of friends of Prince Nicholas of Wales – think Prince William in family order, but in an alternate universe. I don’t even need to go into the rest of the story, because it’s pretty much all there on the cover – if you don’t know where things are heading, you’re just not paying attention.
What I will say, is that this book was even better than I was expecting, which now that I think about it, I should have known, because I’ve always loved the Fug Girls’ writing on their blog. They’re not cribbing Prince William and Kate, and the story is actually pretty detailed, and well rounded. If you want a fun romance, this book is worth it. It totally got me throw a rather grim week this April.
