This is a lovely book – 16 folk tales from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark. The translations are good, and the illustrations are lovely.
I really liked getting different flavor of fairy tales. I had run into an adaptation of “East of the Sun and West of the Moon” before, so I was familiar with that, but the rest were new to me. Definitely a good read for anyone that likes folk and fairy tales.
