Spy, Spy Again – Mercedes Lackey

This is the last book in the series about Herald Mags’ children – in this case, his youngest son Tory is off for an adventure with his best friend, Prince Kyril, to help out Mags’ cousin who leads the Sleepgivers. Bey’s daughter has disappeared, and he needs help to find her.

I enjoyed this story – there was a lot of background for the Sleepgivers, and a move to make them more sympathetic. Tory’s cousins Sira and Ahkhan were good characters, and the overall story both added some interesting depth to the rest of the world beyond Valdemar, and gave Tory and Kee a good way to move toward adulthood beyond the childhood combined ability they’d been known for up until this story.

This was the book I used to bribe myself to finish Seasons of the Storm.
