Half of Dora’s soul was stolen by a fairy lord when she was young, taking most of her emotion with it. Now grown, she’s the companion of her cousin Vanessa, and it’s only because of Vanessa that she’s going to London for the season. Once there, she manages to catch the attention of the Lord Sorcier, who immediately knows there’s something different about her.
I enjoyed this book – it’s still a light, regency tale, but the author manages to include some social commentary, and actually gives her characters some flaws to deal with. It looks like the series will actually be of fairy tales, which aren’t necessarily related to each other, which I’m also finding appealing. I’ll definitely continue with this series.
