I’ve taken my traditional week after Christmas off, and the weather is just plain dreary, so I’ve been catching up on work around the house. I have not actually taken my sewing machine out since we moved to the new house (so yes, that would be three years). I had a small list of things to sew up, which I was actually able to knock down one by reusing a Christmas gift (I needed a bag for a shawl I made for my friend L).
Above are a new bag for the tiles in our Carcassonne game, and I turned my 2020 dumpster fire cross stitch into an ornament. I’ll admit, that’s kind of a shit show, but it fits thematically, so I’m going with it. If it really bugs me later in life, I can unpick that and do it better next time.
