Tis the season for wandering around garden centers. I took Friday off to do my traditional wander around Mackworth/Gilsland (trout lilies were sadly gone by, but as you can see from previous entries, it was still a great walk). I went to Broadway Gardens that afternoon, which was only a touch below crazy weekend levels of people. I stuck it out and filled out my veg and herb list.
I wanted to go to Wolfes Neck today, but it’s just rainy enough we’re delaying for tomorrow. It was not rainy enough to deter an Estabrooks/Skillins trip. So now I’ve really filled out my list. (Skillins actually had gem marigolds – only ones I found in two years!)

So I’ve now finally got all three grow lights going, since most of the purchases are not hardened off. (The Swiss chard is the only thing I currently have out on the deck – I’ll plant that as soon as I’m able, since it is hardened off.)
