The Sinister Mystery of the Mesmerizing Girl – Theodora Goss

This is the final book of the The Extraordinary Adventures of the Athena Club series, which is about the daughters of several different Victorian era villains – Jekyll and Hyde (they each have a daughter), Dr. Moreau, Frankenstein, and others.

In this book, we also get an ancient Egyptian queen, and Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty (I do enjoy where Moriarty’s arch goes). Things come to a head in Cornwall, and it’s a nice ending to this series.

I did enjoy these books – the ladies of the Athena Club all have interesting powers based on their family heritage (or family’s ability to experiment), and it ties ties together well with historical events that really did happen.
