Knitting Notes

Pattern: Electric Sheep by Beata Jezek

Yarn: Sundara Yarn Extra Fine DK Silky Merino in the Night Skies Gradient colorway

Needles: Size 8 Circs

I finally got around to blocking the Electric Sheep shawl. It didn’t really need the blocking to open up the pattern – it was mainly to smooth out some lumps.

I decided to do this pattern with the Sundara gradient I’d purchased as soon as I opened the email for it. (It’s basically my favorite colors in yarn form.) This made the pattern pretty subtle – it’s a three color shawl, and I purposefully made it so that the three colors blend. It could be made with yarn that makes a more distinct pattern, but I really liked how it turned out for this yarn set. (The yarn, pure usual, was lovely to work with.) It’s a good pattern, and free to boot. You could make something fairly different than what I ended up with it, depending on your color choices.
