This is what I woke up to yesterday. It’s gone now, because snow doesn’t last in April, but this is what I’ve been dealing with for the last several weekends.
I’m entering the home stretch of reformatting all my old blog posts, and in a depressing coincidence, I did March and April of 2022 yesterday. The comparison to this year was not kind. (To be fair, 2022 is probably going to reign for a while as a bit of a golden year. We still weren’t traveling widely, but lockdown was winding down, so we went all over Maine that summer and saw so may cool places. I may never be able to replicate that again.)
I have a whole bunch of things I’d like to do with the yard, and a whole lot of places I’d like to check for early flowers. I was hoping to head into New Hampshire next weekend to check for hepatica, but they’re already forecasting more rain! I know it’s a week out, and that really shouldn’t be trusted, but at the rate we’re going, it’s probably going to happen.
So we’ll see when I really start getting my Wayside Flowers posts going this year.
