On Monday, I got up at a completely ridiculous hour to head to Florida. The sun rose while I was on my first flight of the day (from PWM to JFK).
It hit summer down there this week. It was muggy and in the 80s the entire time. While I did enjoy being able to wear shorts, it turns out throwing me into high summer with no lead up is not so fun for me, so I feel like I would have been able to do more had it just been a week earlier.
My Dads have sold their condo in Delray Beach and are moving to a house in West Palm Beach, so this was our last hurrah at the condo. (My sister and younger niece came as well – this was planned around M’s spring break.) We did enjoy some beach time, and M hit the pool every day. (She is pumped that the new place has its own pool, as well as three for the association). We were able to see the new place from the outside – it looks very nice, and I know my Dads are happy about this next step.
So I’ll have a few more entries coming. It feels very light for a four night trip, but it was hot!
