This is a long standing item in my (actual physical) to read pile, left over from my really into King Arthur and vaguely pagan days. And it’s fine.
The authors highlight nine women in the Arthur legends, exploring their roots in older tales. Some hit better than others – there’s just a lot more information about some of them, and their tales are richer for it. I liked the review, and I appreciated all of the sources they cited, but I will not be keeping this book.
