The remaining dahlias came in on my lunch break on Thursday. I was a little worried about this batch – they went through a harder frost than I really should have let them go through a couple days after their first frost. Fortunately, I had moved them under our roof overhang, and trimmed off most of the foliage, so the tubers do look ok. They all went into the garage today.
Here’s my new dahlia cooler. It’s huge! Storage will not be an impediment to buying more tubers for a bit.
Since I’ve got the room, I’m going to put the maypop in here for the winter as well, though I’ll wait for the first snowfall to bring that in.
