We got a white Christmas, for the first time in a while.
This entire December has been weird. For the portion of the month that was still technically Fall, we were treated to unusually cold temperatures – down to single digits overnight. I actually had to bring my dahlias in from the garage for a bit. We also got snow. But then, once actual winter hit, things warmed up again. We hit 40 degrees for the first time all month, and got a rainstorm last Saturday that washed all the snow away. (That day involved temps in the 50s.)
The above picture is from Christmas Eve. We got around eight inches, but there was a line in the midcoast that got 18. It’s the day after Christmas now, and we’re back to frigid temps. The dahlias are back inside again. I don’t think they made it back in the garage for a full week.
