I’ve brought the In Dreams shawl out of hibernation. It’s been a year in a half – I really meant to get back to it sooner.
I’d already invested in some metal needle tips, which have helped. And what I’ve learned this time around is that I really, really need to pay attention to the pattern, because if it feels off even a little bit, it probably is. And with the beading, it’s very hard to tink this back. I’ve ripped this out four times already this go around.
So I’m marking pattern repeats as soon as they’re clear, using the written instructions instead of the chart, and this time around, I’m going to lifeline it each time the stitching gets complicated. We’ll see how it goes this time.
I really do like the pattern – it’s just very much keeping me on my toes.
