Fall in the Garden

I did go outside this weekend – I couldn’t just craft away the whole time.    So yesterday, I put the veggies to bed, as well as whatever of the perennial pots had gone by (which wasn’t much – we’ve not yet had a hard frost here on the coast).

I also did an initial sweep of raking.    You’ll notice the minor layer, and the green-ness of the largest tree above the yard?   I still managed six and a half bags yesterday.      Here’s hoping the rest drop at once so I can get the rest over and done with in one fell swoop.

The other thing you might notice is the lack of fence.     It was finally falling apart so badly that our landlord was forced to pull it (we got new neighbors this weekend, and anyone looking at the place probably would have run away screaming at the state of that fence.)     It’s amazingly open back there.
