I’m a little late reporting this (considering I cast it on on the 2nd), but Christmas knitting part three is the Mezquita Shawl by Roxanne Yuen. I’m using SweetGeorgia’s Cashsilk Lace in the botanical colorway, and size 8 needles.
This yarn is really pleasant to work with. The pattern repeat is simple, but it’s over so many stitches (361 cast on) that it keeps things interesting. Granted, I’ve now finished off the border, so I’m going into stockinette land, but there are short rows, so that’ll hopefully keep it more interesting than just plan stockinette.
I haven’t actually decided who I’m giving this to – keeping my options open since Christmas is still relatively far away.
