I’m actually not convinced that the Solidago above is really a Solidago (they’ve split some of the goldenrods out into other genera recently), but all of the alternatives I could find weren’t ever documented in Bennington County (or even a county over in either VT or MA), so it’s going to have to remain a mystery for now.
2025 Note: It’s not a Solidago! Like the wild sensitive pea, it’s not documented in Bennington County on Gobotany, but both are documented in Berkshire County right over the border in MA, so I’m happy with these labels.
