This is a fun book – Riley’s summoned up to an island in Michigan to meet her aunt – the sister of her mother, who recently passed away. She’s hoping to learn more about her mother, but when she gets there, her aunt has already passed away. But she’s left messages behind, because Riley is the last member of her family, and they have an important task – helping ghosts who have attached themselves to objects from their lives move on.
So Riley finds a new community (including the complete opposite of a meet cute with the clear potential love interest). It’s a charming little town, and her new friends have potential. Absolutely nothing revolutionary, but enough that I’m interested to see where the author goes with this.
