Garden Notes

Planting out is done. Thankfully, everything got through the nor’easter on Thursday intact, and I’ve filled up the rest of the back bed.

I do still need to move the dahlias out of the greenhouse – I’ll do that tomorrow. I can then move that over the brassicas, and switch it over to the net cover. I’ve decided to not plant out the yellow dahlia we always get for the front bed yet. I think it’ll actually be better off in the pot in the back yard for a bit longer, since that’s more sheltered, and should be warmer. The newly sprouted dahlias grew a few inches in the days I had them covered for the nor’easter. That was nice to see when I finally opened things up this morning.
