The Queen’s Price – Anne Bishop

This book was decent – we’re now following the younger women who will eventually be the rulers of Khaeler. They’re not as powerful as Witch and her friends, but they do seem to be going through some of the same things that Jaenelle and the Coven went through as they came into their power. Complete with a rehash of another young women who’s name starts with a ‘D’ going evil on them. (Hadn’t made that connection until I was reading some reviews on the LibraryThing page for this book.)

I did like the redemption of Saetein, although I am a little annoyed that it had to happen in the first place. Surreal’s story is still bugging me – she seemed better than what she ended up being in this last trilogy.

There could be more books, but I’m not totally sure we need anymore. Daemon’s time is numbered, although it sounds like he could be demon dead for a good long time, but since it’s implied that he’ll get Witch back when that happens, I’m not sure I need that story. I do enjoy Lucivar’s family, so if the author wanted to heavy into that, I’d read it.
