
I find myself with an interesting dilemma. I am not drowning in zucchini. Turns out the woodchuck loves the leaves. This is the very first flower it’s managed so far this summer (male of course).
It also loves the greens of all kinds, of course, so those are pretty much doa this year. (At least the lettuce was a spur of the moment buy – I’m not so sad about that.)
I will definitely need some fencing around at least part of the bed next year. It’s leaving pretty much everything else alone, so hopefully I can get away with just segregating off a section.

We’re pretty dry again this year. Not as bad as last year, but still not ideal. It’s at least not been super hot for the most part, but the tomatillo has mainly been a bust, and I think it’s because it’s in a pot and that’s been a bit too hot and dry for it there. I’m going to try those next year in the ground.
