We spent the morning at Kettle Cove, which is the free side of Crescent Beach State Park. It’s not quite as beachy, especially today, as we arrived at the highest point of an usually high tide. It was also strangely quiet for a holiday weekend. We had our pick of parking, and were able to stake out the tip of the grassy area on one of the little rocky points.
It was a lovely place to spend the morning reading. There was a bit of a breeze, so we ended up leaving when the sun disappeared for a little while, and the breeze jumped into uncomfortably cool territory.
