The Embossed Leaves socks are done! Finally! Yes, the second one came out slightly smaller, even though I did it on larger needles, and even compared it side by side with the first one as I was going along, so not sure exactly how that happened. However, my socks tend to slouch enough that it shouldn’t be noticeable when I’m wearing them and not trying to take photos.
I love the Kindred Spirits yarn I used. I even have a decent amount left over, so I think I may make some little socks to use as Christmas tree ornaments, since I love this colorway too much to give it away as baby socks. (I have some other large sock yarn scraps I may be trying baby socks with soon.)
Since those socks are now done, I’ve cast on Wavy Lace Socks in Socks that Rock Raven Clan Valkyrie, for my friend L. I got this colorway specifically because it reminded me of the way her hair looks when she does red streaks, and I think the yarn looks even cooler when I got it into a ball and the various colors blended. It should make a really cool fabric, and I’m excited to see how it comes out. I’m also interested to see if I can pull these socks off and make them fit, since L has smaller feet then mine, so I won’t be able to try them on as I go along.
