Knitting Notes

My first Jaywalker sock is coming along nicely. I really like this pattern. It’s incredibly easy, though I admit that the short pattern repeat is actually making these a little slow going. I found that with the Monkey socks, I preferred to get a full pattern repeat finished at one time, if that was possible, so it meant getting pretty large chunks done at a time. Since this is a two row pattern repeat, it’s a little easy to finish and get interrupted and put it down. But really, as complaints go, I think this is a pretty good one to have.

I’m using size 2 needles, after reading quite a bit about how these run small, and the fit (on the leg at least) is good so far. The yarn does seem to be going rather quickly, but I’ve always had so much left over on my prior socks, I think I’m just being paranoid.

I do really love the yarn (Sereknitty Sock Options in Black Forest Fudge). I like the way it’s striping in, and it’s really lovely to work with.
