I loved this book. Anna temps as a hench – it’s good work with the super villains. Some make better bosses than others, but it’s been a pretty good gig. Until the day her latest boss runs afoul of Supercollider, one of the greatest superheroes of the age, an encounter that leaves Anna injured and out of work. She starts to keep track of the damage superheroes have done to regular people like her, which brings her to the notice of Leviathan, one of the greatest super villains of the age.
Anna is pretty much me, in a superhero world. I felt her corporate world so hard. Granted, her life ended up much more exciting than mine is, but this story was just the perfect encapsulation of corporate life. The superhero world story on top of it was a bonus.
