Half elf Lira has returned to the village she grew up in after the breakup of her crew – she needs to find the one thing she left behind, her grandmother’s recipe book. Instead, she and a dwarf nearly get caught trying to break into the tavern where she hid it, and instead find themselves promising to restore the tavern to its former glory.
Not going to lie, this story gives heavy Legends and Lattes vibes. But Lira and her friends are their own characters, and while none of this story is revolutionary in concept, they’re good people, and it’s a fun read. The author has definitely well tapped into the current cozy fantasy vibe.
