Aren’t those just the cutest mutant carrots ever? And I have beets! (And really, beet greens!) I harvested both of these containers because they were really getting in the way of me getting to the tomato pots. Plus, since I’m not the kind of person willing to start my carrot bed
So remember how I snapped off about half of one of my tomato plants while I was getting the cages on, and really wasn’t sure if it would pull though? Well, it’s now the heartier of the two plants, both of which had to go to tier two of the tomato cages today.

I am super impressed with the climbing rose in my garden – after the last two winters, I wasn’t convinced it was going to survive. It’s actually blooming quite nicely now – I think having to clear out all the deadwood was actually good for it. The lilies are also doing great, especially
I finally managed to get everything planted out this weekend. I may have kept the seedlings too long – we’ll have to see how those go, but at least everything’s in its final place for the year now, and we can just see how it goes.

Garden clean up continues. This time, it was the annoying variegated bush in the front yard. Notice how it’s poking through a hole in the shutter? Well, it’s under much better control now. It’s really amazing what a week of 70 degree weather will do. I left for Florida on Sunday.
