I had to check the dates from my visit last year – it was just about exactly a year ago, but our late spring strikes again. I usually get the wintergreen in full bloom, and the marsh St. John’s wort was barely out at all, and should have also been in bloom as well.

I’m happy to report that it’s still fairly muddy at Warren Woods, so drought conditions remain low this year. I was a bit later than I usually am, so I missed the rose pogonais, but that was more than made up for by the lesser St. John’s wort and the sundews. Those were the best
