Knitting Notes
Another skein of yarn kicked through hexipuffs (Malabrigo Sock in Playa). I’m frankly amazed I got three other separate projects out of this skein, and still managed this many puffs.

Pattern: Lepidoptora Mitts by Allison Van ZandtYarn: Malabrigo Sock in the Playa colorwayNeedles: Size 2 DPNs I’m finding it funny how much darker these mitts look than the other ones I made with the same yarn – funny how a particular pattern can change a variegated skein like that. I also did a little sweater ornament, and
Pattern: Monteagle Bag by Ann Hahn BuechnerYarn: Quince and Co Willet in the Regatta Colorway (and just a touch of Cascade Ultra Pima in Juniper)Needles: Size 11 Circ and one DPN So I’ve been trying to cut down on my plastic use where I can nip it in the bud from the get go.
Pattern: Darryl with a “Y” by Pixie HarfordYarn: Malabrigo Sock in the Playa colorwayNeedles: Size 2.5 DPNs I like this pattern – it’s a nice simple knit, and gave me exactly what the BF had asked for – an additional layer for his hands when snow blowing. I really love how this yarn ended up
Pattern: Telja by Jennifer SteingassYarn: Quince Owl in the Barred, Buru, Cranberry, Papuan and Straits colorwaysNeedles: Size 5 and 6 circs and DPNs My Telja is done! I’m a little sad – the yoke was fun. But now I can wear it! The pattern is cool – three stranded colorwork was an interesting new challenge.
Here are the two temperature scarves, as of the last day of winter. The high scarf has more colors, though I have taken the yarn for the 0-9 and 10-19 ranges away – we’re hopefully past the point of needing those anymore. I have not yet taken anything out of the low temp scarf
I’ve been very bad about keeping track of what’s been going on this month, mostly because it doesn’t seem like much – it’s all indoor stuff. The weather is just now sort of starting to signal it might be warming up. So I cast on these mitts nearly a month ago. The pattern is Darryl
Pattern: Wrap Me Up Puppy by Susan B. AndersonYarn: I Knit or Dye Killing Me Softly Aran light brown and MadelineTosh Vintage in CardinalNeedles: Size 4 DPNs and Size 6 circs and DPNs Here’s a little more stash busting. I’m not super in love with the end result – it’s more my finishing abilities then
My Telja sweater is coming along quite nicely – both sleeves are done, and I’ve started on the body. Here’s all of January and just a little bit of February in the temperature scarves. I’ve added one more color – Silver, for below 0. (Had one line in January.) You can see the last line
Here’s the state of the Wrap Me Up Puppy – puppy is done other than the eyes and nose (though I may have to anchor the ears down a bit), and the blanket is started. I also did cast on the Telja sweater (by Jennifer Steingrass) last weekend. And got to the end of
