Knitting Notes
Here’s the total of what I have after making this year’s hexipuffs. Still not enough to make a blanket, but I’m getting there, slowly by surely.

The Three Irish Girls Beckon Merino Auspicious is gone. I meant to make a pair of socks to go with the first hat, but didn’t have enough yarn, so ended up making another hat. I was just able to eek out one hexipuff with what was left. One of my coworkers commissioned
I have a little more sock yarn using up going on – here’s the Auspicious Beckon Merino in the Cable Baby hat pattern by Pamela W. Allen. I have some matching socks on the needles now, to make another gift set.
Pattern: Slable by Wooly WormheadYarn: Three Irish Girls Beckon Merino in the Auspicious ColorwayNeedles: Size 3 and 4 Circs and 4 DPNs I really enjoyed this pattern – I was initially nervous because of all the seed stitch, but the cable breaks that up nicely. Another sock yarn skein done. This was the Three Irish Girls Beckon Merino in the Silver Bay colorway. I’d gotten it through the yarn club, so I actually had about a skein in a half, because we’d gotten a bonus amount. I made another pair of Fallberry Mitts (love that pattern), and three more hexipuffs.
Here’s a bit more stash busting – a couple of baby hats in the Reversible Cable baby hat pattern I’ve made before. I’ve also cast on some Fallberry mitts to bust some more yarn, and my Christmas knitting planning continues…
Pattern: Quest hat for a Man by Laura NelkinYarn: natural wool from somewhere in Michigan’s UPNeedles: Size 6 circs and DPNs Second time’s the charm! I had enough yarn for the Quest hat, so Christmas knitting project number two is done! Now, I just need to find a cute pattern to make for
