I need to give a special mention to this hawkweed – it was wedged into a crack on the wall just below the balcony of my ninth floor hotel room in Montreal. This should be the picture dictionary definition of a plant generalist.

Actual picture date: 6/15/17. These pictures were taken on the side of route 302, somewhere on the more eastern side of Vermont. Because we have apparently become those people that will pull over to take pictures. (Though only when there’s really no traffic. We do have some standards.)
