I’m happy to report that it’s still fairly muddy at Warren Woods, so drought conditions remain low this year. I was a bit later than I usually am, so I missed the rose pogonais, but that was more than made up for by the lesser St. John’s wort and the sundews. Those were the best

This preserve was an interesting find. It’s got one of the northernmost stands of mountain laurel in New England, which was the main reason we decided to stop by.
